Diploma in IT
A diploma programme is a part-time qualifying higher education programme at bachelor level primarily aimed at adults with a short-cycle or medium-cycle higher education.
The diploma programme gives students insight into IT issues, such as the assessment and use of important methods and theories in connection with the development and evaluation of IT systems and digital media.
Flexible programme and broad profile
Students in the diploma programme have highly varying IT competencies. Therefore, the programme is structured to allow you to tailor your study programme to fit your background, your level and the profile that you want. You choose for yourself which courses you want to take during your studies.
To ensure coherent, progressive study programmes, we have designed a recommended study programme for three academic specialisations. We recommend that you take one of these three specialisations:
• Software
• Design and Multimedia
• Business
Please note, that not all courses are taught in English.
When you graduate, you will hold a Diploma in Information Technology (DIT).

Workload of the programme
The workload of the diploma programme corresponds to 1 year of full-time studies or 60 ECTS. The programme is typically completed as a two-year part-time study but can be completed over a period of 1-6 years depending on your needs. A part-time study must fit with your working life and your private life. Classes are therefore generally scheduled in the afternoon and evening, and we also offer web based teaching.
The workload of each course and project of the programme in terms of ECTS credit is 7.5 ECTS or 15 ECTS, and the final project corresponds to 15 ECTS.
How much time will you be spending on courses and preparation?
One semester lasts approximately 13 weeks with 12 weeks of classes. Each semester ends with a short exam period. As a student you will spend about 10 hours per week on each 7.5 ECTS-course.
