Exchange students and guest students 

Students from other universities may enroll as exchange students or guest students (non-degree students) at the IT University for a term or two. They may choose from among all our courses in English, and/or do research projects. Find the relevant courses in the online Course Database.

BSc students
Guest students on bachelor level can follow courses offered by the three bachelor's programmes offered at the IT University:

Digital Media and Design
Software Development
Global Business Informatics

The study programme Global Business Informatics is offered in English. Digital Media and Design and Software Development are offered in Danish. There are however a number of courses offered in English.  You may choose from the courses offered BSc students at the IT University from the third to the sixth semester.

MSc students
Exchange students and guest students may enroll in study activities from the two MSc study programmes which are taught in English: 

Media Technology and Games (MTG)
Software Development and Technology (SDT).

Exchange students and guest students may also attend study activities from the IT University's two other MSc programmes, which offer a few courses in English.

Digital Design and Communication
The programme offers courses and research projects in English within subjects such as digital media in theory and practice, design of interactive products, multimedia applications, and communication strategies within IT.

E-Business
The programme offers courses and research projects within subjects such as strategic and tactical tools for e-business, knowledge management, and IT strategy.

Tuition fees

No fees are charged for EU/EEA students, Erasmus students, US students with a Fulbright scholarship, and US students from a university within the University of North Carolina.

Tuition fees are charged for all other students, see Tuition fees and scholarships.

Application to become an international exchange or guest student

Students from inside the EU/EEA
If you are a student from a university with which the IT University has an Erasmus exchange agreement, you may come as an Erasmus exchange student with a scholarship from Erasmus. See the list of the IT University's bilateral agreements under Erasmus. In this case, you apply through the International Office at your own university. Please also fill in the application form below.

Application deadline at the IT University:
15 May (start in August)
15 November (start in January)

If your university is not on the list of universities with whom the IT University has bilateral agreements under Erasmus, you are welcome to contact our International Office (interoffice@itu.dk) so that we can investigate the possibility of setting up an Erasmus agreement.

As an EU/EEA student with an EU/EEA citizenship, you can always apply directly to the IT University to become a guest student.

You need to fill in the application form below, no matter if you have an Erasmus scholarship or not. You will not be charged tuition fees.

US students
If you are a US student who intend to apply to come as a Fulbright student, please contact the IT University's International Office (interoffice@itu.dk).

Students from outside the EU/EEA
All other students are welcome to apply to become a guest student at the IT University by filling in the application form below. You will be charged tuition fees.

Application deadlines:
1 April (for start in August)
1 October (for start in January)
