Computer games are much more than entertaining pastime for teenagers. Games have become one of the most important media of today, and today people all over the modern world use computer games for a wide range of purposes. Computer games can be a communication method, a learning tool, a medium for social interaction and an aid to rehabilitation. If you want a better understanding of the new media or if you want to create the computer games of tomorrow, the MSc in Media Technology and Games is for you.

You will be working with computer games on both a theoretical and a practical level. Your fellow students will have widely varying backgrounds – in both technology, liberal arts, social science and fine arts. This variation provides a dynamic and creative framework for studying games from different perspectives. You will try your hand at technical, social, aesthetic and narrative aspects of computer games, and your teachers will be among the most recognised games researchers in the world.

The MSc in Media Technology and Games is a two-year full-time programme with an international perspective. All teaching is in English. You will graduate as an MSc in Media Technology and Games. You will acquire in-depth knowledge of the cultural significance and potential of games and will be able to work as a game designer, game developer, games critic, game programmer, etc.
