Application process  

Here follows information about how to apply for the MSc programme in IT at the IT University. You will find relevant application form and guidelines.

Applicants must complete the application form and provide sufficient evidence of their academic background, academic competencies and English language proficiency. See Documentation below.

Applicants from EU/EEA countries

Online application
If you are a citizen an EU/EEA country or have a Danish residence, you can apply for the Master of Science programme online. If you have a Danish qualifying education, you can also upload your documentation in the online application system. Otherwise documentation has to be sent by mail (see below).

You also have the possibility to apply on paper and send it by postal mail to the IT University.

Documentation
With the application you must enclose:

  • A copy of your BSc diploma/bachelor diploma including a transcript of grades/ Certified copy of academic certificate for qualifying education
  • A personal letter of motivation/cover letter (see guidelines)
  • Any other documentation for qualifications on which the applicant is relying 

    If you hold a non-Danish qualifying education, the copies must be verified by your educational institution, by a public authority, or by the Royal Danish Embassy or a Royal Danish Consulate in your country. Each individual copy must carry a statement that the copy corresponds with the original. You should not submit original documents, but send verified photocopies.

Documentation

  • A personal letter of motivation/cover letter (see guidelines)
  • Any other documentation for qualifications on which the applicant is relying 
  • Documentation of the specified test requirements (TOEFL/IELTS and GRE)

    If you hold a non-Danish qualifying education, the copies must be verified by your educational institution, by a public authority, or by the Royal Danish Embassy or a Royal Danish Consulate in your country. Each individual copy must carry a statement that the copy corresponds with the original. You should not submit original documents, but send verified photocopies.

Admission rules

Enrolment and semester start


International students who are offered enrolment at the IT University of Copenhagen must be able to come to Copenhagen and attend lessons from the first day of the semester (i.e. the introduction day at the latest). International students are to present themselves at the Student Administration Office in order for the enrolment to become effective.
