Industrial PhD Student

An Industrial PhD is done in close collaboration with a private company. The project is conducted in cooperation between the private company, the student and the university.

An industrial PhD student is employed by the company that also pays a large part of the salary of the PhD student. As one of the first steps in preparing an application for an industrial PhD, students are encouraged to try to identify one or more companies that are prepared to employ the student.

Requirements

Applicants for the Industrial PhD programme must hold a master’s degree or similar.
