The IT University is an independent education and research institution dedicated to the digital world - from games and communication to business and software development. The university has a strong research environment and offers a variety of research based study programmes within the field of IT.

Approximately one fourth of our 1700 students are international students. The students are taught by some of the most competent teachers in their fields and one of the many advantages of studying at a small university is that you have easy access to them. Students can easily get feedback or answers to their questions, or just have an informal chat with their lecturers when they meet in the cafeteria.

Why study abroad?
Studying abroad is both personally and academically stimulating. Studies show that taking a part of your education abroad makes you more attractive to the job market. It gives you a unique professional profile and an advantageous cultural understanding. At the IT-University we value an international study environment. As a large percentage of the university’s students are international, the IT-University has wide experience and a natural focus on ensuring that our students experience a friendly study environment, a good social life and academic challenges, and gives the international student a high priority.

A safe city
Copenhagen is a safe place to live and study. Denmark ranks high among the most peaceful countries in the world. Copenhagen, though relatively big, has a low crime rate and personal safety is high. However, we advise students to exercise the same caution as they would in other major cities.
