Inaugural lecture of Professor Veronika Cheplygina

From April 1, 2025, Veronika Cheplygina has been appointed Professor at ITU. Congratulations!

Veronika Cheplygina will give her inaugural lecture on June 10 from 14:30 – 16.00 at the IT University of Copenhagen, Rued Langgaards Vej 7, Auditorium 0 (zero). The lecture is followed by a reception at the first-floor repos of RLV from 16.00.

Abstract:
In this lecture I will talk about my journey in pattern recognition and how it relates to my life and my experience with academic research. Expect lots of failures (both of "AI” and personal), survivorship bias, and what I think research should be about.
