drag the drawing to explore the rest of the red side
There are two sides in the Atrium; a red side and green side
That's all great, but the way you know which side you are standing on is by defining a pool of two colors,
red and green.
Next yoou observe the opposite side of the Atrium and logically deduce that you must be standing on
the side of the color opposite to the one you are watching.
Easy peasy :)
(in instance example we must be watching from the green side)
The atrium in IT University building is decorated with a piece of art by John Maeda. The work of art is called "ITU Interactive Light Walls". It consists of four green panels on the building's east wing and three red panels on the west.
Luminaries consists of 10 fields of light in width and 11 in height. The individual spots are made up by six diodes mounted in a circle. Each diode is a 1W diode type Fluxeon-star with Lambertian scattering. The LEDs have a life expectancy of up to 100,000 hours (12 years with 24 hours of ignition) and is more reliable than halogen lamps.
John Maeda writes this about his work: "The user inputs a number having several digits, such as a telephone number (6133788991) or a special date (06211992). The computer processes the number uses a generic art synthesis program, and the resulting dynamic graphical content appears on the display."
The art installation is not working with the user inputs anymore.
