It's pitch black. All you can see is the character's eyes. But you can move around. You need to get to the other end. But how? Well, you need to try!
Even though you can't see anything besides your eyes, there is something which indicates your progress and those are sounds. If there's a good sound playing, you're going the safe way. If a bad sound appears, you're encoutering some danger which you have to avoid by looking for a good sound and going that way.
In the end, it turns out that you were looking for a light switch - that's the goal of the game; to reach it. When you turn on the light, it turns out that you were playing a little boy who was on a 'journey' from his bed to the light switch at the other end of the room. There were some toys and clothes lying on the floor. It was only his imagination which made the 'journey' like you played it.
The above is of course just an idea which can change but as you can see I would like to make a game with some kind of twist or which has something unique about it (be it the aesthetics, story, mechanics, etc). I am open minded when it comes to any new ideas.
I'll be honest - I don't have any experience in programming or game making. BUT, I do have a lot of experience when it comes to working with international groups (Danes included) on big, semester projects.
I can definitely keep deadlines and keep organized. My group should have rules which we all agree on, e.g. clapping on the shoulder when you do something good, cake when you're late but also keeping the deadlines, having breaks every hour and such.
Although I do understand the beauty of working all night right before the project deadline, I will aim for finishing at least a day before. Why? Because I don't know how you deal with stress. And it would suck to start killing each other right before the end.
I will keep the team together, cheer on people, compliment, criticize, keep things organized, keep us from overcomplicating things. I can proof read and put the things we've done together in a nice way which can be a pain in the ass but has to be done. The project must look nice, neat and be solid when it comes to the content.
Also, forming groups is nothing personal for me. I want to work with people whom I will work well with. It's not about friendships (sounds maybe harsh but it's true :).
I'm aiming for at least 10's for all of us!
And, of course, I hope we will have fun! ;)
I think that's it. Sorry for the late pitch. :)
