How to apply
Applicants with an international qualifying exam are to apply in either quota 2 or 3, according to your citizenship and residence permit.
You apply through the Coordinated Enrollment System on the website www.optagelse.dk.
APPLY FOR ADMISSION
If you are a EU/EAA citizen
- You apply for admission in quota 2
You must submit the following documentation:
- Verified copies of your qualifying exam(s)
- A Cover Letter
- A Curricula Vitae

Admission requirements
General admission requirements
- A qualifying examination certificate that can be equated with a Danish upper secondary school leaving certificate.
Specific admission requirements

English at B-level. Your minimum average mark must be 6 on the Danish 7-point marking scale.

Mathematics at B-level. Your minimum average mark must be 6 on the Danish 7-point marking scale.
Admission requirements are stated in danish levels. Please see www.en.iu.dk to find how your marks and levels correspond to the Danish system.

Proficiency in oral and written English.
Please note, the IT University of Copenhagen reserves the right to demand that you pass an updated TOEFL or IELTS test in Copenhagen within the first semester, if we consider a student's English proficiency to be insufficient.
- No proficiency in oral or written Danish is required.
- Programming skills are not required.
Tuition fee
- EU and EEA applicants are NOT required to pay a tuition fee when studying in Denmark.
- Non-EU and non-EEA applicants are required to pay a tuition fee when studying in Denmark.
