Exchange and guest students
If you want to study at the IT University for a semester or two, but not enroll as a full-time student, you can come either as an exchange student or a guest student.
Exchange students from a non-Danish university
Usually, if you want to enroll for a semester or two as an international student, you come as an exchange student through an institutional exchange agreement like Erasmus or a bilateral exchange agreement.
The International Office at your home university can nominate you for an exchange place at the IT University. After being selected by your home university to study at the IT University, you will receive an e-mail from us explaining our application procedure and requirements. Exchange students do not pay tuition fee.
Free-movers (Guest students from a non-Danish university)
If your university does not have an exchange agreement with the IT University, you can enroll in one or more courses at the IT University as a free-mover. You must be able to document your English profiency with a TOEFL or IELTS test. All guest students, who enroll in one or more courses at the IT University of Copenhagen as part of their education at a non-Danish university (this includes students from universities within the EU and EEA) pay tuition fee.
Guest students from another Danish University
If you are enrolled as a full-degree student in another Danish university, you can enroll as a guest student at the IT University without paying tuition fee to the IT University.
